Champagne Houses
Visiting the famous Champagne
houses in Reims or Epernay is top of the list for many visitors to the
Champagne region.
For those who wish to see the vineyards and more of
the Champagne countryside, Epernay is preferable with its Route Touristique de
Champagne which winds gently around the town allowing you to discover chateaux,
roman churches and pretty Champagne villages as well as many smaller Champagne
houses where you will be welcomed to sample and purchase their fine product.
The Avenue de Champagne in the centre of town is lined with many of the grand
Champagne houses where you can find tours and tastings.
If you prefer a
city experience, then you will enjoy a day in Reims. You will find many of the
famous names amongst the grand architecture and history of this magnificent
city. Reims Notre-Dame cathedral was once famed for conducting the coronations
of French kings and is essential visiting when in the city.
